Redland Guarantee

Redland offer one of the most comprehensive guarantees of all the roof tile manufacturers in the U.K. Because they guarantee all of there roofing tiles and associated fittings, should a part fail they will replace it at no cost to the home-owner and also cover the additional costs of labour and any associated materials.

Installation and Fittings

The Grovebury should be laid straight bonded and each tile should be either nailed, clipped or secured by screw. The type of fix required will depend on the altitude and location of the site. Areas such as Northern England and Western Ireland are subject to stronger winds and require different fixing solutions than roofs located in London or the South East where the wind is less fierce.

Typically each tile should be either be clipped or nailed and clipped. In locations where there is likely to be extreme wind, the tile should be screwed and clipped with ring-shanked nails.

It is important to ensure that the installation guidelines are followed as the guarantee may depend on it. Also note that half cuts are not permitted at gable ends.
