I have just purchased a 3 bed detached property in Ewell (just outside Epsom). I was hoping to get a quote for new fascia, soffit and guttering.

    Dear Sir,

What’s better a pvc roof gable or a cemented roof gable? I live in NW England. Do you undertake work in Liverpool?

Your advise shall be highly appreciated.

    Thank you.

We have a considerable amount of moss on a flat roof (presumably mineral felt) about 4 meters by 12 meters on an extension and moss on gravel and brickwork.

I wonder if you would be kind enough to give me some hints as to how to deal with the problem.

    Many thanks

    Hello Daniel,
thanks very much for the site, as a homeowner in london im always struggling with problems and trying to fix things and find good tradesmen for various work at reasonable prices.
Your website shows it less of a chore more of a good hobby! Thanks for the link to the ratedpeople site i hope this will help on my property’s various fixes.
We have a recurrent chimney hidden leak. We have had roofers re-pooring tar on the roof but it still comes back eventually. We laso have thick tangles of all sort of cables crisscrossing the roof that noone can sort out. We once came back from holiday to find a pigeon living in the flat. Like a magicians hat trick we could not figure out how on earth there was a pigeon inside a totally locked flat. We now have colt top cowls installed.
But i wanted to ask about one recurrent problem we have : the pigeons. They love our roof. We dont mind them, but they are getting to be many and the drains and gutters have to be constantly cleaned off their mess. Other that those roof spikes we see everywhere how can we deal with that? It is a large area and we use the roof ourselves sometimes so no spikes is better. It is an old slate pitched roof, with wide flat gutters on both sides the lenght of it. Please advise us on this if any idea for it it would be very much appreciated.

Daniel – I am very impressed with your article on rebedding verge tiles to an end gable. I live in Ludgershall near Andover? Would you be interested in giving me a quote ? I am about 40 minutes from you via M3 and A303.I would not be looking to have this work done till the summer.

Thank you but this very far out of my local area and I would not be able to offer you a quotation. You could try Rated People.

      Kind Regards
